2023 European Education Fair (EEFT) Visitor Survey
The 20th EEFT welcomed 83 European higher education institutions from 11 European countries, and over 7000 visitors. The majority of our visitors are students (46%) and professionals (34%) aged 18 to 35 (69%), and the dominant gender was female. As for prospective destinations, Germany ranked second behind the UK, still the best among all non-English speaking countries. Next are the Netherlands and France, together in the top 4 most popular countries.
A total of 20 universities and institutions from Germany participated in the exhibition, including comprehensive research universities, technical universities, universities of applied sciences, business schools, professional language institutions, etc. More than 2,000 people came to the DAAD booth of the host country for consultation. For two consecutive days, the lectures on studying Germany attracted large audience, showing that Germany’s excellent education system and quality, reasonable tuition and living expenses and other advantages make it the first choice for Taiwanese students when they plan to study abroad, on par with English-speaking countries.
The EEFT is co-organized with the joint effort of the British Council, Campus France Taiwan / French Office in Taipei, and DAAD Information Center Taipei. Every country has made great efforts to promote their higher education institutions in Taiwan after Covid-19, and raised awareness among students within the past years. The feedback received from the exhibitors are very positive. Exhibitors perceiving high quality with the local students and nice service with the organizer. We will continue promoting Europe’s education and encouraging Taiwanese students to choose Europe as their future destination to pursue their studies as well as bridging connection between European higher education institutions and local universities.
